The place of memory and historic connection in a video by Benedict Kolbe
We conclude the Cologne entries to the "Nostalgia Tourist" project with a videotour by Benedict Kolbe, who will take us to, maybe, the most unusual landmark of the project - the memorial cemetery for the Soviet war prisoners who perished in concentration camps during the Second World War.
"All that we want is to live in peace, but to do it, we need to take a close look into the past", Benedict comments.

The focus of her video is the Peace Street – one of the first streets to be restored in Stalingrad after the Great Patriotic War, the heart of the new city and the symbol of its renaissance.

In the new episode of the "Nostalgia Tourist" project, meet another creative tandem – Mikhail Kozlovtsev and Elina Ryazanova, both majoring in "State and Municipal Management" at the Volgograd Institute of Management – RANEPA branch.
In this video, its authors decided to concentrate on the historic part of the city and elaborate upon Tsaritsyn, the ancestor of the modern Volgograd, whose past is reflected in the numerous unique landmarks peppered around today's streets.

Cossack history and culture in Volgograd -- a tour by Diana Fomina
Today, the tour guide waxing poetic about the pre-pandemic sights in her native town is Diana Fomina, a third-year student of Volgograd Institute of Management – RANEPA branch majoring in "Economic Security".
Diana's video is dedicated to Volgograd sights and places connected with the Cossack history and culture. Cossack blood runs in Diana's family, and her whole childhood had been filled with her grandfather's stories about their daily life and traditions.

In the new episode of the "Nostalgia Tourist" project, we introduce to you a group of three video operators and amateur journalists: third-year students of the Volgograd Institute of Management – RANEPA branch Alena Karpova and Diana Batyrova and their sempai Ilya Babichev.
In their video, the three students decided to address the city's historic part, and no place can pull it better than the Old Sarepta – a museum reserve established in the territory of a German settlement.

Today's participants from the "Nostalgia Tourist" Russian-German project had united into a large creative group. Meet the first-year students – Elina Kalmykova, Irina Riabova, Sabrina Mohammad Omar and Semen Samarin.
"For everyone, Volgograd is a city where all sights are somehow related to war. The Planetarium is directly connected with Germany, so we thought we absolutely had to mention it. The Peace Street is a place with unique atmosphere, a place that is so good for walking. And the Embankment – well, it is Volgograd's signature landmark, so we could not leave it out."

A video about Volgograd by Julia Rudova and Alina Smirnova
Today, a tour around Volgograd is given by a duet of most creative guides: first-year students of Volgograd Institute of Management – RANEPA branch Julia Rudova and Alina Smirnova, who are both majoring in the Psychology of Employment Activity.
The frames you see in the young ladies' video are a combination of what Alina and Julia filmed themselves with the best shots of Volgograd Municipal TV and some footage by quadcopter pilots. The resulting short movie is dedicated to the landmarks and places that give Alina and Julia a surge of energy and pride for their city.

A video tour around Volgograd: the Fire Observation Tower by Alexey Stepanov and Anastasia Zaitseva
Today, on air is Alexey Stepanov, a fifth-year student of School No. 19 situated in Volgograd's Central district, and his older and more experienced co-author Anastasia Zaitseva, a second-year student of the Volgograd Institute of Management – RANEPA branch.
Their video is dedicated to just landmark, but a very spectacular one – the first Fire Observation Tower built back in the time when our city was called Tsaritsyn.
